Teen Parent Services

If you're a first-time parent, you have to put your fears aside and learn the basics of childcare in order to safely handle your new infant and care for your personal needs as well. If you’re a pregnant teenager or already a teenaged parent, along with having to learn how to care for your baby, you need some looking after, too. That is what Teen Parent Services is here to do.

Teen Parent Services (TPS) – provides teenage parents with a variety of case management resources with the goal of clients completing high school and going on to higher education or securing gainful employment. The program provides resources for basic needs referrals such as housing, food, and clothing, pre and post natal nutrition education, child-birthing classes, well-child medical visits, childcare enrollment, parenting classes, and HIV prevention education workshops.

Teen Parent Services also covers the cost of books and job uniforms, transit cards, baby supplies and provides the emotional support and encouragement everyone needs to believe in themselves; – all in order to equip young parents to become successful, self-sufficient adults.
